When I started law school, I wrote on a blog called "Contributory Negligence". It didn't last long (thanks to the terrible writing company I was surrounded with) but there was one high point. I unleashed my fury on a habit that many Mississippians have. It bugged me then and it bugs me now. Here, in all its glory, is a re-publication of my blogpost, entitled "Oh, Mississippi". Enjoy.

I love Oxford so far. Its a great place, the people are really friendly, the town is small but has everything you need.
I do, however, have one problem...
PEOPLE IN MISSISSIPPI LEAVE THEIR SHOPPING CARTS ALL OVER THE DAMN PARKING LOT.
This really bothers me. Alot. An unreasonable amount, I think. Is it so hard to take it to a "shopping cart collection" spot in the parking lot? I mean, every time I pull into a spot at Wal-Mart, I almost hit a cart. Every. single. time. I think next time I go to the grocery store, I might just drop-kick the first person I see unloading their car. I'll be like the "shopping cart avenger", saving people with common sense from those who would wish to damage their cars by leaving carts land-mine style around the parking lot. Maybe they'll make a comic book about me.
Note: I found the picture above by going to Google Images and typing in "shopping cart". I almost laughed out loud because it looks alternatingly like the carts are part of a bad horror movie or like they are really, really lonely. Either way, don't sue me if its your crappy photo.
